Permanent – Full Time – 37.5 hours per week.
(Working every other weekend).
From £10.75 an hour support workers and Senior support workers £ 11

Job description for support workers:

• Assisting the patient with bathing, grooming and getting dressed
• Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
• Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time
• Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel
• Providing mental and emotional support to service users
• Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
• Organising suitable recreational activities for the service users
• Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible support

Job description for Senior support workers:

• Lead the team of care assistants they are responsible for and train new staff
• Have ownership of the support plan, including the creation of the support plan and its delivery
• Monitor general health and vital signs in service users health
• Communicate with families about their relative’s progress
• Deliver activities to stimulate and engage service users
• Fill in medication reports
• Assist service users with dressing, washing and using the bathroom
• Serve meals and assist with feeding when required
